Privacy Policy — Otter Sort
Last updated: 24 August 2026
Otter Sort ("the game") is a single-player puzzle game. This policy explains what data the game
collects, why, and what your choices are. The game has no accounts, no sign-up and no way to enter
personal information.
Data we collect
The game itself does not ask you for any personal information. It uses the following third-party
services, which collect limited technical data automatically:
- Google Firebase Analytics — anonymous gameplay events (for example: a level
was started, completed or failed, a booster was used, a purchase was made), a
device-generated identifier, device model, operating system version, app version and an
approximate region derived from your IP address. Used to understand which levels are too hard
or too easy.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports containing the device model,
operating system version and the technical state of the game at the moment of the crash. Used
to find and fix bugs.
- Google Firebase Remote Config — downloads configuration values to your
device (which features are on, tuning values). It sends the device's technical properties so
the right configuration can be selected.
- AppLovin MAX and its mediation partners (including Google AdMob) — the game
shows advertisements: optional rewarded ads you choose to watch, short ads between levels and
a banner outside gameplay. To deliver and measure these ads, the advertising SDKs may collect
your device's advertising identifier (IDFA / Android Advertising ID), IP address, device
model, operating system version and coarse, IP-derived location. This data is used for ad
delivery, measurement, frequency capping and fraud prevention.
- Adjust — measures which advertisement or link led you to install the game and
how the game is used at a high level. It processes the advertising identifier, a
device-generated identifier, IP address, device model and operating system version.
- Purchase verification — when you buy something, the receipt issued by Apple
or Google is sent to our server to confirm the purchase is genuine and to deliver the item.
We store the transaction identifier, the product identifier and a device-generated
identifier. We never receive your card number, billing address or store account credentials —
the payment itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google.
- Level content delivery — the game downloads level data and updated content
from our content servers. Such requests carry your IP address, as any web request does.
What we do not collect
- No name, e-mail address, phone number or postal address — unless you write to us yourself, in
which case we only use your message to answer you.
- No precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access.
- No card numbers or payment details.
- No data that we can use to identify you personally.
Game progress
Your level progress, coins, boosters and settings are stored locally on your device only.
Deleting the game removes them permanently. They are not uploaded to any server and there is no
cloud save.
Tracking and permissions
On iOS, ads are personalised only if you allow tracking when the system asks (App Tracking
Transparency). If you decline, you still see ads, but they are not personalised using your
advertising identifier. You can change your choice or reset your advertising identifier at any time
in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking on iOS, or under
Settings › Google › Ads on Android. In regions where consent is required
(for example the EU/EEA and the UK), a consent screen is shown before personalised ads are served,
and your choice is respected by the advertising SDKs.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children under 13, and we do not
knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, write
to us and we will delete it.
How long data is kept
Analytics and crash data are kept by the services listed above under their own retention rules
(typically up to 14 months for analytics events). Purchase verification records are kept as long as
needed to support the purchase and to meet legal and accounting obligations. Support e-mails are
kept until the matter is resolved.
Third-party policies
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in the EU or KVKK in Türkiye) you may have
the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of data relating to you, and to object
to certain processing. Because the game collects no directly identifying data, we may need
additional information — such as your advertising identifier or a purchase receipt — to locate any
records. Write to us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
